The coin is a bronze Ancient Greek coin from the Kingdom of Pontos, city of Amisos struck between 85-65BC. The coin features the portrait of the god of wine and festivals, Dionysus. The reverse depicts a thyrsos (a sacred staff, carried by Dionysus). The pendant was 100% handmade in America by an expert jeweler and is comprised of 14k yellow gold filed material. Gold filled is similar to solid gold in durability and appearance but at a fraction of the cost, while being vastly superior to gold plated material as it will not wear off or change color.
