1837 Reeded Edge 50₵ EF. Minted at the Philadelphia Mint with a total production of 3,629,820 pieces, it stands as a major numismatic milestone. Designed by Christian Gobrecht, the reverse features an eagle with the denomination explicitly spelled out as 50 CENTS.
There are also a few very fine scratches/brush marks on the reverse. Also note the small nicks/indent on the obverse near the 2-3 o’clock position. Also note the tiny nicks/dings on the obverse rim edge in the 2-3 and 4-7 o’clock positions.
