I am unfamiliar with most colonial coins though and am not sure what type of coin this is, but it appears to be from the 1700’s. It appears to have a reverse design similar to the Connecticut cents found in the Red Book.

I am unfamiliar with most colonial coins though and am not sure what type of coin this is. The edge does not have any lettering that I can make out. Th is coin possibly circulated in the United States before the mint was established, and saw a great deal of circulation as it is heavily worn.
